Palisade Aviation was started in 2019 to bring a common sense and “intentional” approach to aviation operations and training. I was not ready to accept that “B+” would ever be good enough when it came to training pilots in the industry. Too much emphasis is placed on assembly line style training with little time spent cultivating sound decision making and risk management that goes beyond “checking the box”.
The truth is that it is not cost prohibitive to train with emphasis on thought process, understanding of the intent of regulations, and risk management that continues throughout the flight. Decision making and risk management are more important than simply getting the job done.
